30 Minute Social Sessions Workbook
What Social Media Experts Say
I know you’ve read quite a few of the articles about social media management out there. Most of them are from the social media experts who give you loads of actionable advice that makes sense on paper but doesn’t always seem to fit into your busy schedule.
And the experts’ articles will end with some form of this:
To increase your connections, you should start posting on ALL the social channels and increase the amount of content you create so you can increase the number of times you create those sales converting touchpoints.
To do this, they say “your team needs to get bigger.”
For people who work for large companies, of course this makes sense. They have a team of people who handle their marketing and some even have a separate team who handles their social media messaging.
But what about those of us who are small business owners?
You don’t have a team. It’s just you.
My *team* includes my accountability partner, my online mastermind group (to brainstorm with) and occasionally my Golden Retriever Winston who likes to sleep under my desk.
I feel pretty confident that these *team* members won’t be helping me create all this content and update all these social networks I apparently need to be on to reach everyone who may or may not need my services.
BUT … what if
What if you could find a way to grow your presence in your social sites? And what if it didn’t add hours to your already crazy day?
What if it took just 30 minutes a few times a week?
How does this 30 Minute Social Sessions stuff work?
For me to explain this, let me step back a bit and share my story. I was getting really busy with work and finding it hard to fit in the time I knew it takes to keep up with the social sites I using to promote my business.
I was throwing up posts when I had a few minutes. I wasn’t commenting, sharing or doing that word we all like talk about – engaging. I was reacting instead of being proactive.
I said to myself, “There’s gotta be a better way to do this. And I’m going to figure it out.”
So I decided to run a 30-day experiment and tested out different action steps in Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Instagram. As I moved through each social site experiment, I started to see patterns emerge.
I found a way to create a simple routine to keep my social sites updated and allowed time for me to stay engaged. And every time I worked the steps, the quicker I got. Some days, I finished the steps in under 30 minutes.
And the 30 Minute Social Sessions were created.
