Today I am grateful
With all the craziness of our busy days, sometimes it’s easy to forget about being grateful for what we have.
It’s easier to think about all those things that we don’t have – I only have 300 people following my Facebook page; My Instagram post only got 30 Likes; Only 5 people retweeted my promotion post!
I get it. It feels like all these things are important to help grow your business on social media. But sometimes, you just need to take a step back and be thankful for the amazing things in your life rather than focusing on these metrics that we’ve convinced ourselves are oh-so-important.
As we step into the holiday season, let’s all take a moment to be thankful for these things that we take for granted:
1. Good friends
Even if you can count on one hand the number of good friends you have in your life, let’s be thankful that these people are in our lives and will always be close to our hearts.
2. Weekends
Whether you overplan your time every weekend or leave it open to whatever comes your way, there’s something magical about waking up on a Saturday morning and knowing that it’s not Monday.
3. Our furry family
There is no better way to experience unconditional love and comfort than with the furry members in our family.
4. Learning from our mistakes
Making mistakes means that we’re actually trying new things, testing out new programs or doing something different with our business. And it’s one thing to try out all of this new stuff. It’s another thing to learn a valuable lesson that will help us grow.
5. Laughing
Enjoying one of those moments with your family and friends where you’re laughing so hard that you can’t breathe, is one of those simple joys in life that we should never take for granted.
6. Our five senses
Be thankful for your ability to see the beauty in our neighborhoods, smell the amazing aromas, hear the wonderful sounds, taste the magnificent foods you’ll eat during the holidays and being able to touch the world around us.
7. Children
Hearing children laugh, watching them experience new things and believing that they truly are the signs of our future that is yet to come.
8. Music
It doesn’t matter what type of music that you listen to you, music helps us feel emotions, remember certain times in our lives and take us on a journey of happiness.
9. Your health
Even on the days when you’re not feeling your best, you’re still here today and there’s a good chance that you have more parts that are working than the ones you’re having problems with.
10. The kindness of strangers
“Whoever you are, I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.” – Tennessee Williams
Kindness and goodness is all around us as long as we keep our eyes open to it in our lives.
A Time to Give Thanks
I’m just beyond excited for the amazing year that I’ve had with my business and I’m ready to keep providing programs to help other small business owners and bloggers manage their social media marketing.
I’m thrilled to see my ideas turn into plans but I’m also grateful.
As I reflect on everything that has happened this year at Inner Social Media-ness. I realize that the opportunities I’ve had to reach so many people should not be something that I take for granted.
I have a lot to be thankful for with everyone who works behind the scenes with me to keep things running. I am thankful for my mastermind group who have spent hours listening to me talk things through, sort through problems and help me come up with the best solutions.
I’m thankful to see you show up and read my posts when you have so many options out there to capture your attention. Your presence on my site is certainly not something that I take for granted.
I am truly grateful to you for choosing me as one of your sources for social media marketing tips and resources for Pinterest. Small business owners and bloggers are my most highly valued customers and it has been a sincere pleasure writing for you this year.
Your honest suggestions and feedback have helped me shape my business to best fit your needs and I look forward to working even closer with you in 2018 as I continue on my path as a Social Media Productivity Coach.
It’s been exciting to see new faces commenting to Inner Social Media-ness and posting my blog out to others. To all of you, I want to say a special Thank You.
Most of all, I want to remind you to take time out of your busy lives and reflect on all of the wonderful things that you might have overlooked while rushing to meet a deadline, trying to make it to the next meeting or dropping your kids off at school.
Finally, thank you to everyone who makes all of this possible. I’m looking forward to growing our relationship in 2018 and I thank you for allowing me to provide social media solutions for the work that matter most to you.
To all of you, I want to say a special Thank You.
